Training Opportunity for Louisiana Medicaid EBP Behavioral Health Practitioners

The Engaging Youth and Families in Behavioral Health Services training is scheduled for
Friday, April 26, 2024 from 9:00am-1:00pm.
The course instructor is Kelly Wilson, LCSW for this training opportunity.
The course is limited to 40 participants.
ZOOM REGISTRATION DEADLINE: THURSDAY, April 25, 2024

Training Overview

The Engaging Youth and Families training will center on parent engagement research regarding youth and family involvement in behavioral health services. We will examine the common elements of treatment engagement identified in the research literature, differentiating pragmatic challenges and perceptual barriers. We will practice key strategies for improving active caregiver participation in their child’s mental health services.

Training Acceptance Criteria: Qualified behavioral health agencies/providers will be those who serve Medicaid-insured individuals and/or provide clinical therapy services to children and their caregivers in Louisiana free of charge; are licensed (or actively working towards licensure); and are actively (currently) treating children and their caregivers.

There will be no cost to agencies for the training itself; however, agencies must financially commit to the time and effort required to successfully complete all training requirements.
